Next July 24, Vice President Kamala Harris will lead an event in Chicago to raise funds for Joe Biden’s permanence as head of the White House.
With the support of Desiree Rogers, one of her great friends and who endorsed him when he ran for president in the 2020 Democratic primary, Harris has set a goal of raising at least $250,000, which will go to the Biden Action Fund, which drives the re-election campaign of the president and the Democratic National Committee.
It should be noted that Rogers, in addition to being executive director and co-owner of Fashion Fair and Black Opal, a company dedicated to makeup and skin care, is a fervent admirer of Kamala Harris, whom she has supported since she competed as a candidate to reach the Senate of California.
Thus, The businesswoman is preparing a great event for her that will be held at her house on the Gold Coast and where Jaime Harrison, president of the Democratic National Committee, is also expected to be present.
Also involved in meeting preparations are Les Coney, a financial services executive; Jane Saks, Co-Founder and Co-Artistic Director of M2M; Elzie Higginbottom, founder of East Lake Management, a real estate firm; John Rogers Jr., chief investment officer at Ariel Investments; and Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi, D-Ill.
However, all the responsibility of the meeting will fall on Kamala Harris who during the last few days has strangely faced certain problems to address the topics of some meetings in which she has participated as a guest.
During the Essence Festival in New Orleans, the vice president did not find a way to define the concept of culture.
“Culture is, is a reflection of our moment and our time. Good? That is a reflection of joy. Because, you know, it comes in the morning,” she pointed out.
Subsequently, andn a meeting where defenders of the rights of people with disabilities participated to increase the accessibility of transport, the vice president of the nation baffled those present with another confusing concept.
“This transportation issue is fundamentally about making sure that people have the ability to get where they need to go,” he said.
Finally, meeting a group of labor and civil rights leaders, Harris once again failed to define the concept of artificial intelligence (AI).
“I think the first part of this problem that needs to be articulated is that AI is a fancy thing. First of all, it’s two letters. It means artificial intelligence, but ultimately, it’s about machine learning,” he expressed.
