Walt Nauta, an aide to former President Donald Trump, has pleaded not guilty to federal charges of conspiring with his boss to withhold classified documents.

Along with the 77-year-old New York tycoon, Nauta faces charges of conspiracy to obstruct justice, withholding a document or record, corrupt concealment of a document or record, concealing a document in a federal investigation, and conspiring to conceal, crimes involving a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.

The arguments filed against Nauta say that he moved dozens of boxes containing classified documents at Trump’s direction at Mar-a-Lago, the millionaire’s home in Palm Beach, Florida.

The assistant later lied to federal investigators about it.
