André Jardine sat down for the first time in the Azteca stadium and the result was a defeat for America club 1-2 against Juárez FC who did not hesitate to embitter the debut of the Brazilian who ended up being chosen late and was noted in the planning of a team that fell apart with substitute pieces throughout the match.

Despite taking the lead on the scoreboard, the Azulcrema team could not hold out the entire match and the Bravos de Juárez only needed the final five minutes to reverse the score and add the first three points of this recently started Opening Tournament of the Liga MX, while those led by André Jardine added the first disappointment of this new cycle.

At minute 15, a great goal from Leonardo Suárez gave Club América the lead and until then everything was joy, because those led by Jardine seemed to have the meeting on track, but things would end up changing almost ending the commitment.

Juárez’s reaction in the final stretch of the match

The Águilas del América did not know how to go beyond the goal and gradually fell apart against some Braves who never gave up until they achieved the goal of the party that was none other than adding three.

That was how at minute 86, Aitor García opened the key to the bitterness of Jardine’s debut with a great goal that tied the actions and silenced the cream-blue fans present at the Azteca stadium.

The second score would also come from a great goal billed by Ángel Zapata that left the entire cream-blue team cold that he had nothing left but to contemplate the great disaster that his debut had become and the mistake of the board of directors for having added the new coach so late and with little room for work.

Next Sunday, July 9, América will face off against Querétaro as visitors and there they will try to vindicate themselves from this bitter pill that has meant their first defeat with Jardine on the bench making his debut in an official match.
