Latina mother accused of the death of her baby after leaving her alone at home for 10 days to go on vacation

Kristel Candelario went on vacation for 10 days, but left her one and a half year old baby alone, who died at home.

Now Candelario, 31, is charged in Ohio in Jaylin’s death, whom he found dehydrated on June 18. She was later pronounced dead.

The woman traveled to Detroit and Puerto Rico, according to the affidavit first revealed by NBC News.

Candelario admitted that she had left her baby at home”alone and unattended” and when she returned home, the baby was “extremely dehydrated.”

In addition, the authorities revealed that the children’s basket where the baby was abandoned was full of dirty blankets, urine and feces.

There are still no details as to why Candelario did not ask someone else to take care of the baby.but some neighbors told local television station WKYC that they had cared for her on other occasions.

“Jailyn really didn’t deserve what happened to her,” a neighbor said. “She was a happy baby, always smiling, always curious about things. She was a wonderful, wonderful baby.”

According to other witnesses, it was not the first time that Candelario left the baby aloneShe was even alerted by neighbors and acquaintances.

“We kept telling her not to leave her alone, not just me, my friend across the street as well,” another neighbor recounted.

Candelario is being held in the Cuyahoga County Jail, where she faces a million-dollar bond.

Next Wednesday, June 28, you must appear before the judge.
