Despite Carlos Vela's goal, LAFC loses at home to the Vancouver Whitecaps

Carlos candle scored his sixth goal of the season 2023 of the MLS this Saturday in the match between LAFC and the Vancouver Whitecaps, where the canadians they got the best part and they defeated the local team 2-3.

The goal of the Mexican gunner fell at minute 68, when he appeared in the middle and finished off a cross from Mateusz Bogusz on the edge of the six-yard box. In the remaining 22 minutes of the match, the Angelenos went all out to look for a tie, but they couldn’t.

Before that, Ranko Veselinovic opened the scoring at minute 2 for the Whitecaps, 21 minutes later Brian White extended the lead, then Denis Bouanga closed the gap before the end of the first half.

For the second half they scored Ryan Gauld, the momentary 1-3 and Carlos Vela the final 2-3.

This was the second loss of the season at home for LAFC, who entered this match on a two-game winning streak.

With this result, LAFC is no longer the leader of the Western Conferencesince they were beaten by St. Louis City SCwhich defeated the San Jose Earthquakes and reached the first position.

It is worth mentioning that both the first and second place in the conference have 32 points, although the Black & Gold still have a game pending, which could take them back to the top.
