In the midst of an accusation for the crime of sexual assault in Florida, Conor McGregor received support from a group of fans in NY when he left a hotel with his partner and children.
With all the supporters around and during the commotion, the network TMZ Sports had the opportunity to get a response from the star of UFC. The 34-year-old fighter seized the opportunity and sent a message to all his followers.
“Thank you very much for the support, I appreciate the support,” he said surrounded by fans outside the luxurious hotel ‘The Peninsula’, located in Manhattan. mcgregor was accused by a woman, whose identity has not been revealed, of having been responsible for an attempted rape in the bathrooms of the Kaseya Center during the fourth game of the nba finals between Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets.
‘The Notorious’, who has not yet been arrested or called to testify by the authorities, denied the accusations; however, TMZ Sports received a comment from the Irishman’s lawyer, Bárbara R. Llanes, after the publication of a couple of videos where the Mixed Martial Arts professional is seen taking a woman to a bathroom inside the sports venue while his security team protects the door.
“Mr. McGregor welcomes the investigation, which he strongly believes will prove the claims against him to be false.. After failing to respond to the demand for money made by the plaintiff’s attorney, she turned to the media for pressure. This is nothing more than extortion,” he said.
This situation develops just when mcgregor He was planning his return to the Octagon. The fighter has not contested a bout since the event of UFC 264, in July 2021, which he lost against Dustin Poirier when he broke one of his legs.
The Irishman is currently training alongside Michael Chandler in “The Ultimate Fighter.” Initially, plans call for a fight against the lightweight contender after the show ends.
