French prodigy Victor Wembanyama, Selected with the number one in the draft by the San Antonio Spurs, he thanked the Argentine Manu Ginóbili, Tim Duncan and David Robinson, legends of the Texan franchise, for inviting him to dinner on his arrival in town and for sharing with him his experiences in the NBA.
“I learned more about the NBA in two hours with them than in the rest of my life. It’s good to see that these people who are so important to San Antonio He is so kind and generous, they genuinely wanted to share their experiences,” Wembanyama said at his presentation press conference as a new Spurs player.

He acknowledged that he has not yet been able to visit the city of San Antonio, but he was able to go out to eat “some tacos.”
He thanked the many fans who greeted him at the airport and admitted that he did not expect such a warm reception from the start.
