Jorge “Naughty” Arce He was one of the most famous boxers in Mexico by demonstrating his quality against national and international rivals, which led him to win five world titles in different categories.
This endeared him to the public, including members of organized crime such as Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzmanwho on one occasion ordered his people to take the athlete away to be the guest of honor at a party.
This was revealed by the boxer himself during an interview with sports commentator Javier Alarcón, to whom he told that after his participation in the television reality show “Big Brother”, his fame reached its highest peak and allowed him to meet some personalities.
What he did not imagine is that he also began to be admired by organized crime figures such as El Chapo, with whom he had one of the encounters he will never forget, because he even felt threatened.
Recalling that fact, he explained that he was driving in his car through the streets of Sinaloa when he was intercepted from the front by individuals who looked like police officers, stopped him and forbade him to see where he was going, because they had the task of taking him to a party with Chapo Guzmánso they hooded him and took him away.
Upon arriving at the meeting point, he witnessed a meeting with criminals of all sizes, and even confessed that some of those he saw are already dead, although he preferred to omit the names.
“They greeted me, I greeted all the people, all the names you can imagine, there they were at that party, I greeted everyone: ‘Hello, nice to meet you, I’ve seen you,’ he told them while they answered him: “Champion, we love you, get ready, take care and we bet on you”revealed about the conversations he had with several Mexican bosses.
The international champion confessed that when he arrived at the party he saw one of the most luxurious trucks of the time, a BMW X5 with a red bow, and when he asked who they would give that truck to, everyone told him it was for him, but the boxer decided not accept it.
The drug traffickers asked “Naughty” what he wanted, to which he only replied that it was enough for him to arrive safely at the place where he was picked up, and his request was granted.
