Héctor Herrera is one of the historical names of the Mexican team. The former Atlético de Madrid player closed his stage in European football to play with the Houston Dynamo of the MLS. However, “HH” considers that Since he arrived in the United States, he has been seen out of the corner of his eye for calls from Mexico.

The veteran Mexican soccer player was highly criticized at the time his arrival in the MLS was announced. Several specialists claimed that Herrera could stay in Europe for more years, but because of the money he came to the United States. “HH” was very critical of this type of conception and spoke without filters about his absence from El Tri.

“The solution for the whole world of the Mexican National Team plays in MLS, which is Carlos Vela. Why can’t the rest of us be eligible? It seems that everything we have lived in the Tricolor it is deleted at any moment. I come to the MLS and I no longer exist”, Héctor Herrera said in an interview with Fox Sports.

Short memory in Mexican soccer?

Héctor Herrera also appealed to memories to argue an opportunity to be in the Mexican team. “HH” is one of El Tri’s historic players and has contributed to Mexico’s latest achievements at the national team level.

“It seems that by coming (to MLS) in the Mexican National Team I am not an eligible player. This season I am in a great moment and there is no talk if I can be chosen. Alan Pulido is flying and scoring more goals than any Mexican, except that Santiago Gimenez and Henry Martin,” he explained.

Finally, and perhaps motivated by the absences of the Mexican team, Héctor Herrera acknowledged his interest in returning to European football. Although he assured that his closest future is with the Houston Dynamo, the Aztec opened the doors of the Old Continent.

“There is interest from some teams in European football, I would love to return and it is not a lie. My main focus is to stay here (MLS)”, he concluded.
