How should you play the Powerball Double Play?
Double Play is a draw that gives Powerball players a second chance. You can participate again with your Powerball numbers in a separate draw, with a maximum cash prize of $10 million.
In order to participate, you must mark the Double Play feature on your Powerball ticket for the price of an additional $1 per play.
Note: Powerball tickets that include the Double Play feature are eligible for prizes in both draws.
How do you get your prize?
Just like Powerball, Double Play prizes are claimed in the state where you purchased the winning ticket. Players in general can claim a prize of up to $600 dollars at any business authorized to sell lottery in the country where they obtained the ticket.
Prizes greater than $600 dollars can be requested at the main lottery headquarters in each case. However, there are some authorized establishments, which you can quickly find out as appropriate.
How much time do I have to redeem my winning ticket? Approximately 90 days to one year, depending on the restrictions of the jurisdiction in which the ticket was sold. The expiration date is usually on the back of the ticket. If the expiration date is not listed, check with your state lottery for information.
When is the Powerball Double Play played?
Double Play draws are held on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, immediately after the Powerball drawing.
