Mexican soccer shakes up the transfer market again. Isco, a former Real Madrid player, was emerging as one of the stars who they could reach the Liga MXbut now he is joined by another footballer who also has great scrolls in his career. The Eagles of America would be behind Gabriel Barbosa.
The failure of Fernando Ortíz on the cream-blue bench will not be easy to forget, especially when they were eliminated by Chivas de Guadalajara as part of an epic rojiblanca comeback. Under these circumstances, the club would not want history to repeat itself and would seek to reinforce its squad through money. Gabigol would be one of his goals.
Gabriel Barbosa is one of the most valued strikers in South American football. The Flamengo attacker is an attacker with great numbers in Brazilian football as well as chave experience in the Old Continent. The interest in Gabigol excites the fans of Club América and calls into question the position of Henry Martín at the spearhead of the team.
Is it possible for Gabigol to join Club América?
Right off the bat, Gabigol’s transfer to Mexican soccer represents an ambitious transaction. The hypothetical arrival of Gabriel Barbosa would place him as one of the most expensive signings in the history of Mexican soccer when taking into account that the Brazilian is valued at more than $20 million dollars.
In addition to the investment for his token, Club América would also have to count on the investment that Barbosa’s contract would represent. The Brazilian goalscorer earns about $3.6 million dollars a year. This figure would make him the second highest paid footballer in Liga MX behind only André-Pierre Gignac, striker for Tigres de la UANL who earns $4.5 million dollars.
Gabigol is an emblem of Flamengo. In this historic Brazilian team Barbosa has played 223 games in which he has scored 135 goals and distributed 37 assists. The Brazilian attacker has also played with Santos, Inter Milan and Benfica. Barbosa has represented Canarinha on 18 occasions in which he has scored 5 goals.
