Almost nine months after giving up, The Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) once again obtained 16 arrest warrants against soldiers allegedly involved in the disappearance of the 43 students from Ayotzinapa.

Among the soldiers, Colonel Rafael Hernández Nieto stands out, former commander of the 41st Infantry Battalion, accused of the crimes of forced disappearance, torture and organized crime.

The Prosecutor’s Office, led by Alejandro Gertz Manero, requested and obtained 16 arrest warrants by the Second District Judge in Federal Criminal Proceedings of Toluca, State of Mexico, Raquel Ivette Duarte Cedillo.

According to official informationthree of the 16 soldiers accused of forced disappearance, torture and organized crime in the Ayotzinapa case, they have already been arrested and entered the military promise of Military Camp 1-A, in Mexico City.

According to official information, in addition to Colonel Rafael Hernández Nieto, other names that appear on the list are the soldiers who have an arrest warrant are Omar Torres Marquillo, Uri Yashiel Reyes Lazos, Gustavo Rodríguez de la Cruz, Juan Sotelo Díaz, Santiago Muñoz Pilo , Francisco Narváez Pérez and Ramiro Manzanares Sanabria, Eloy Estrada Díaz, Juan Andrés Flores Lagunes, Oscar Cruz Román, Ezequiel Carrera Rifas, Joel Gálvez Santos, Felipe González Cano, Roberto de los Santos Eduviges and Enrique Martínez Chávez.
