Erik Rubín revealed in an interview with Alan Tacher, in which other members of the cast of ‘Grease’ were also present, if there is a possibility that Paulina Rubio and Thalia be part of this project in the future, as they were also in the original version of the staging with Timbiriche.
“One of the most difficult things is precisely to get those of us who are here, because of the commitments and the lives that each one has and well, Yes, the invitation was made and maybe at some point the possibility will open up”commented the actor and singer.
Also present at this talk were Benny Ibarra, Alix Bauer, Diego Schoenning and Mariana Garzawho are the other members of the group participating in this new staging of the musical, which will begin performances on July 13 in Mexico and will also have dates in the United States.
Together they remembered how they lived the play 39 years ago, when they staged it for the first time, in addition to Erik Rubín mentioning that in this version they will include songs that are not in the original play, but are in the film, in addition to preparing some surprises.
On the other hand, they mentioned the participation of their ex, Andrea Legarreta, for whom this is very special, since she auditioned on that occasion, but was not selected. “It didn’t stay, then, now well imagine you have the opportunity to fulfill that dream”.
