MLB: The 5 Latin stars who could debut in the 2023 All-Star Game

The All-Star Game will be held on July 11 at Seattle’s T-Mobile Park and there are several Latino players who are standing out to register their name for the first time.

Below are the Latinos who could be in the All-Star Game for the first time:

Randy Arozarena – Tampa Bay Rays

One of the names that has stood out the most this year is the Cuban-Mexican Randy Arozarena with the Tampa Bay Rays. The 28-year-old has been one of the best hitters for the Rays with 12 home runs, a .282 batting average and a 2.3 WAR.

Arozarena ranked fourth among outfielders behind Aaron Jude, Mike Trout and Yordan Álvarez. The representative of Mexico is in his fifth season and could participate as part of the American League team for the first time.

Orlando Arcia – Atlanta Braves

Orlando Arcia is having his best season of his career in 2023 with the Atlanta Braves. The Venezuelan led the first voting for the All-Star Game over Dansby Swanson and Xander Bogaerts.

Arcia has 55 hits, a .327 batting average, 27 runs scored and 23 RBIs in 48 games.

Another of the Tampa Bay Rays players who is having a great season is the Cuban Yandy Díaz. The first baseman was behind Vladimir Guerrero Jr. in the first voting as a starter for the All-Star Game.

Yandy has a .311 batting average12 home runs, 68 hits, 36 RBIs and a 2.3 WAR.

Luis Robert Jr. – Chicago White Sox

Luis Robert Jr. is in his fourth season with the Chicago White Sox and is being one of the best home run hitters in the American League. The 25-year-old Cuban has 17 home runs in just 2 months of the season, the most in a single season.

Although he has battled injuries, Robert Jr. could be one of Seattle’s first all-stars.

Jorge Soler – Miami Marlins

The 2021 World Series MVP is one of 3 players to have 20 or more home runs this season. The 31-year-old Cuban has been one of the best hitters for the Marlins with a .261 batting average, 20 home runs, 61 hits and 40 RBIs.
