This week Donald Trump was indicted on 37 federal charges for having deliberately removed hundreds of classified documents from the White House and housed them in Mar-a-Lago, although several Republicans have voiced their annoyance, which has remained silent He is the Governor of Florida. Ron DeSantis.

DeSantis’s silence is nothing more than a a sign that he is between a rock and a hard place, at least that’s what one MAGA-aligned Republican strategist believes.

It was during an interview with the magazine rolling stones that the strategist noted under anonymity that “if you are Ron, you find yourself in a really difficult situationBecause if you criticize the Department of Justice and you criticize Jack Smith and Biden, you are essentially defending trump and admitting that Trump was right.”

In addition, he assured that “if you condemn it, there is no way for you to run in it. And then silence is an equally bad option because people notice that you don’t say anything.

Said analysis comes after the spokesman for the Trump campaign, Steven Cheung, sent a letter targeting DeSantis for “hiding in a hole” after Trump’s speech on Tuesday night after hearing his 37 charges.

The claim also comes because when it was announced that Trump faced 37 federal chargesDeSantis criticized the Department of Justice (DOJ) and even promised that if he became president he would “hold the DOJ to account, eliminate political bias and end the use of guns once and for all”, in addition, “he said they would be aggressive with pardons, but this week he has preferred keep quiet.

But the one who did speak and made it loud was the spokesman for George W. Bush, Ari Fleischer, who assured in an interview with Fox News that “every wise republican should promise to pardon Donald Trump” and even suggested that Trump could “run to forgive himself (and) if any of these Republicans (who are seeking the presidency) were elected, he could forgive Trump.”

Comment that has been supported by Vivek Ramaswamy who during a press conference urged all 2024 presidential candidates to commit to pardoning Trump if he is chosen.

In an interview with the aforementioned magazine, Ramaswamy called DeSantis’ attempts “disgusting” to cover the legal fate of Trump.

“I don’t think it’s good for politicians to try to hide, to try to talk out of both sides of their mouths. It is possible that I will come out adopting my position later. I think it’s a trend we’ve seen throughout this campaign. If the last six months are any indication, my prediction is that he will accept my position,” he said.

Until now, DeSantis has not commented on the accusations. and suggestions from some supporters of the Republican Party.
