However, WhatsApp also has plans to make it even easier to search and discover different Channels.. They are creating a directory where users will be able to explore a wide range of available Channels, from specific hobbies to sports teams to local officials. This will open up new opportunities for people to find and join Channels relevant to their interests.
One important feature to be mentioned is that messages sent through Channels will be automatically deleted after 30 days.. This ensures privacy and efficient management of shared information, while encouraging more up-to-date and relevant communication.
In the words of Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook, the parent company of WhatsApp: “Today we are announcing WhatsApp channels, a private way to follow the people and organizations that matter to you, directly within WhatsApp. We will start in Singapore and Colombia, but will expand to all of them later this year.. We are creating channels to be the most private way to communicate. As a channel admin, your phone number won’t be shown to followers, and following a channel won’t show it to the admin or other people who follow the channel.”
