Pat Casey, BMX legend with six X Games medals, dies after suffering a motocross accident

Pat Casey, one of the BMX legends of the past two decades, has passed away at age 29 after suffering an accident while practicing motocross at Slayground Motocross Park. As a result, the cycling world and the Americans lost one of the best BMX riders, thanks to who won six medals in the X games.

Casey was born on December 26, 1993 in Riverside, California., and from that moment he began his career as a BMX rider until he turned professional at the age of 16. the american He was famous for his invented tricks, such as the ironing Decade Backflip, during the FISE in Montpellier in 2011. He also managed to win a lot of medals of all kinds at X Games, Red Bull Dreamline Dirt and FISE.

Also, Casey had become a phenomenon on social media for the different tricks he performed on the bike, so his eldest son, Reid, is expected to follow in his footsteps, something he has already done after participating in the Montpellier tournament this year for the first time.

The first medal that came into his hands was at the X Games in Los Angeles, in 2012. Also, Casey also hung one more on the Red Bull Dreamline Dirt of 2013, the FISE of 2019 or the gold in X Games of 2021in Dirt.

One of the last medals that came to his career was in 2022, at which time he would get silver in the first edition of the “MegaPark” discipline, this after falling behind Ryan Williams.
