“Last night, I tested positive for COVID-19 after a routine test. I feel good and will continue to work from home and follow public health guidelines,” the mayor wrote.

The mayor’s office reported that Bass is vaccinated and received the respective booster doses. His spokesperson, Zach Seidl, mentioned that this is the first time that Bass has tested positive for the coronavirus.

On the mayor’s agenda, this Thursday morning she was scheduled to speak at the 42nd Lotus Festival, in Echo Park, as part of the celebration of the Asian American and Pacific Islander community. In the evening, at 7:00 pm, he was expected to attend a dinner for LiUNA Local 300 scholars at Pico Union.

However, the mayor’s office reviewed Bass’s schedule for Thursday and indicated that she had no public events planned.

Seidl mentioned that the mayor intends to participate this Friday virtually in a housing forum organized by the BizFed Institute and the Milken Institute. Prior to the announcement of the Bass contagion, this event had already been planned to be held virtually.
