César Montes arrived at Espanyol, and although he had good performances, the central defender and his team were relegated from LaLiga Santander. As a result, the ‘Cachorro’ will have to play in the second division of Spain, unless he leaves the ship to join Mallorca with Javier ‘Vasco’ Aguirre in the first division.

At least that’s what the information from journalist Enric Canyellas, a specialist in transfer market issues, indicates. This source explains that César Montes is the main alternative of the clubwho was looking to strengthen his ranks with Aridane Hernández, but apparently the signing would be blocked and for this reason they would seek the services of the Mexican.

In addition to this, the information revealed by Canyellas explains how the two teams are already in negotiations to exchange the player. Furthermore, he let it be known that “Mallorca’s feelings are positive, they see it with the possibility of reaching an agreement.”

Montes arrived at Espanyol in the January market for 8 million euros, about $12 million US dollars, after his stint with Rayados de Monterrey of Liga MX. Later, after his arrival, the ‘Cachorro’ he took ownership to finish the season with a balance of 21 games and three goalsa situation that did not prevent the fall of the team.

Luis García Fernández, the coach of the Barcelona team, explained that he did not want to lose any of his key players for next season, as His plans are to return to LaLiga as soon as possible.

Only time will tell us if time will tell us if César Montes will leave the parakeet team in order to add a new Spanish team to his career, in which he would play under Javier ‘Vasco’ Aguirre.
