This week the lightweight champion (WBA) Gervonta Davis went on to serve the remainder of her sentence in jail due to the traffic accident in which he was involved in 2020, this for a violation of his probation.

The ‘Tank’ took the judicial measure calmly (according to close sources) and will remain in shape for the rest of the 90 days of his sentence.

His trainer Calvin Ford recently visited him in prison and shared positive insights on the 28-year-old’s process: “He is enjoying life, meditating on it. I needed this”.

In an interview for the media Mill City BoxingFord considered that Gervonta will finish her prison process successfullystrengthened, just as it began this week, the complete opposite of other cases in which the prisoner collapses.

“When I spoke to Gervonta Davis, she made me laugh (…) Enjoy her peace. This is good for him because it gives him the opportunity to think about many things, about how he wants to do things, about his life, about his career.”

Gervonta Davis’ last fight and victory was on April 22 against Ryan Garcia in a fight of recent dominance in boxing.

His record is an immaculate 29-0, with 27 losses. He is the rival to beat in the division since he has not lost his title lightweight of the World Boxing Association (WBA).
