Checo Pérez walks away from the fight for the championship

After more than 10 seasons in the highest category and the last immersed in the fight for the title, Checo Pérez feels fit and prepared to face a historic feat: the first Mexican to win a Formula 1 campaign.

In the Monaco GP, a mistake left him far in the classification, something that he only repaired in the race. This weekend he was in Q2 and although his strategy had an effect, he was left out of the podium, something for which he strove in an erratic day.

The next challenge for the Mexican pilot is the weekend of June 17-18, in a couple of weeks, in cold Canada.
