Sydney Carter is a college basketball coach who stands out for her game and her exclusive way of dressing that shows her elegant in each meeting in front of the team from the University of Texas.
At 32 years old, the Dallas native is comfortable with her style and also explains that it is okay to dress how you feel and without having the need to attract anyone.
Before coaching the varsity team, Sydney Carter was a player for the Texan team, and was later drafted by the Chicago Sky to the WNBA in 2012..
Among other distinctions in her time as a player, Carter ranks 10th in A&M all-time with 206 steals, and is tied for 10th with 388 assists and 17th on the list with 1,176 points..
Carter has been criticized for her elegant way of dressing when directing and even for wearing heels to the court and in the face of this reality, she has spoken out through a statement.
“Representation matters. As a black woman in the coaching world, I take pride in showing that people who look like me don’t have to dim our light to attract others whose opinions never mattered anyway.Carter wrote in a statement in 2022.
Sydney Carter continues to shine with results and a voice of authority on her team, and also always makes it elegant in each presentation, an example of elegance and category in the world of sports.
