Real Madrid announces that Marco Asensio is leaving the club: How many trophies did he win and how many goals did he score?

Real Madrid announced that Marco Asensio will leave the club after the end of the 2023-2024 season after spending 7 years at the White House in Madrid. The 27-year-old Spanish footballer also made the announcement on his social networks in which he thanks the club for all the years and the titles they have achieved.

“From a very young age, Real Madrid became my passion, my dream and my most precious goal. I have had the privilege of making this dream come true during these wonderful years. I want to express my deepest gratitude to Real Madrid, the president, his board of directors, the coaches and the people who work to make the club such a special institution”, he expressed.

This season Asensio has scored 12 goals and 8 assists this season in all competitions. Asensio arrived at Real Madrid at the age of 20 in 2013 in an era dominated by Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale.

The 27-year-old left-hander made 285 appearances for Real Madrid and left 61 goals with 32 assists in all competitions. In the Champions League he scored 12 goals, one of them in the 2017 final against Juventus to win the 12th European Cup for the Madrid team.

In La Liga, he scored 37 goals and provided 24 assists. While for the Copa del Rey he had 9 goals and 3 assists in 24 games.

As for Asensio’s record, he won all possible trophies during the 7 years he was at the club. The Spanish he won 3 UEFA Champions League, 4 Club World Cups, 3 Spanish Leagues, 3 European Super Cups, 1 Copa del Rey, 3 Spanish Super Cup.

Asensio heading to PSG?

Now that the Spanish footballer can sign with any team, he is expected to be one of the new signings of Paris Saint Germain for the 2023-2024 season. Aston Villa also made an offer, but the player opted for PSG’s.
