With the same lottery scratch-off game, two California residents joined the list of millionaires in the state.

California Lottery officials reported that Ruby Evans and Job Aguirre each won $2 million in prizes playing with Instant Prize Crossword Scratcher tickets.

Evans acquired the scratch-off at Sweet Time Donuts, in the 600 block of E. Compton Boulevardin the city of Compton, while a few miles away, Job Aguirre bought the ticket in the 76 service station, located at 12863 Ventura Boulevardin Studio City.

In his car, Evans scratched off the ticket and was shocked to think he had won $2,000. Overcome with her excitement, she immediately went back to the donut shop to request a form to claim the prize, but got the surprise of his life when the clerk scanned the ticket and discovered that the prize was actually $2 million.

“I’m going to tell you something, this is a great blessing. It gives me the opportunity to pay my bills, my mortgage and help my daughters,” Evans told the California Lottery.

It is not the first time that Evans has won prizes in the lottery. At the same donut shop, he bought a Scratch-Off ticket that gave him a $5,000 prize..

Also, 10 years ago, Evans won $100,000 also with another scratch-off lottery ticket.

Evans announced that, despite the millionaire prize he won, he will continue to play the lottery.

A person who is also very happy about Evans’ luck is the owner of the donut shop, who will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the millionaire Scratch-Off ticket.

In Studio City, thanks to Job Aguirre’s millionaire award, the owner of service station 76 will also receive a $10,000 bonus.

The California Lottery reported that the two million-dollar prize-winning Scratch-Off tickets were sold in January.
