Baseball and Major League Baseball remain one of the favorite pastimes of Americans. This year the attendance numbers have increased compared to previous years.

The #1 team in fan attendance is the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium. The team averages 47,873 fans per game with a total of 1,148,958 so far this season.

The Dodgers are the only team averaging more than 40,000 fans per game this year. The second team on the list is the St. Louis Cardinals, who, although they haven’t had a good year, are averaging 39,799 fans per game this year.

The list is completed by the following sets:

3. Philadelphia Phillies – 39,455

4. New York Yankees – 39,034

5. San Diego Padres – 38,638

6. Atlanta Braves – 37,790

7. Houston Astros – 37,068

8. Toronto Blue Jays – 35,918

9. Chicago Cubs – 31,943

10. Los Angeles Angels – 31,491

With the worst attendance are the Oakland Athletics, a team that is in the process of deciding whether to move to Las Vegas or some other city, it barely registered 8,695 fans per game. In addition, the team projects to lose more than 100 games this year.

One of the surprises is the Tampa Bay Rays. Although they are the team with the best record in the Major Leagues are in the 26th place in attendance with 17,164 fans.
