The authorities investigate the shooting death of a man who was found this Thursday morning on a pedestrian path in the city of Garden GroveOrange County.
Garden Grove Police Department officers responded at approximately 3:45 a.m. to the 12300 block of Trask Avenueafter receiving reports of a man lying on a sidewalk.
When the police arrived at the scene, they found a man between 25 and 35 years old on the sidewalk. Orange County Fire Authority paramedics confirmed the victim had died from a gunshot wound..
The identity of the deceased man was not provided. No further details about this case were immediately released.
The Garden Grove Police Department said there were no reports of gunshots in the area. before reports were received about the man on the sidewalk. However, detectives scoured the area in search of possible witnesses or surveillance camera recordings that could help in the investigations.
In the area where the victim was found, on the sidewalk in an east-west direction, it has single-family home and apartment complexes, plus it runs over a flood control channel.
