Americans weigh in on whether they would welcome immigrants into their cities

A recent survey of CBS News/YouGov addressed to Americans as to whether they would be willing to receive immigrants in their cities, as well as what are the factors that influence their decision, surprised more than one, because the numbers reflect the empathy that there is at the moment towards the asylum seekers.

The survey of more than 2,000 adults residents in the country pointed out that 52% would be willing to welcome immigrantswhile 37% do not believe it is necessary to accommodate them when there are already shelters for them.

While most respondents young people, under 30 years of age, They showed their support for the proposal with 70%.

Republicans who oppose accepting immigrants also believe that there is no space in their cities, those people, according to CBS News, are adults who are attentive to immigration, as well as at the border.

Among people who identify themselves as Democrats, the percentage of those who would be willing to receive immigrants into their homes rises to 80%, although 57% reiterate that there are facilities to accommodate them; Republicans reject the possibility and it is reflected in 73%.
