Telemundo's 'Hoy Día' wins a Telly Award for Best Television Set

Telemundo’s morning show, ‘Hoy Día’ is celebrating after winning the prestigious Telly, Gold Winner Craft – Television award, which recognizes the best television set and in which programs from all over the world participate and which was awarded thanks to the design created by Cris Mercado.

She was present in the studio so that she could tell a little about what it was like to design this new image, which has graced the show for a few months. The Dominican assured that it was “crazy”, because they had to do everything very quickly, since they had approximately a month to develop it before it went on the air.

He also said that he was inspired by the Latino community to design the set, “We Latinos are happy, fun people, we like dancing, pachanga, rumba and the set should reflect that”commented on it.

In addition, he thanked the executive producer of the program, for having given him the best direction to be able to develop that space, which has now been recognized with this important award. On the other hand, Cris Mercado revealed that she will now be in charge of designing the digital studio for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, which will air on Telemundo starting July 20.
