Former soccer player Duilio Davino and former Pumas coach Andrés Lillini join the Mexican National Teams

As already anticipated, Duilio Davino and Andres Lillini were officially incorporated this Wednesday into the structure of the National Teams of Mexicothe first as sports director of all men’s categories and the second as the new director of minor teams.

Through a statement, the Mexican Football Federationinformed that with the integration of these two figures the structure with which it is intended to start a new stage in the preparation process for the different representatives of the Tri is completed.

“With this designation the structure of National Teams is completed, with which This new stage is reinforced in the preparation process of the different national representatives with a view to their new commitments, including, the World Cup 2026in which Mexico will host for the third time”, can be read in the letter released to the media.

Duilio Davino He joins after a successful career as a soccer player, where he highlighted his participation with Club América and the Mexican National Team. In the MX League, as a defender he won 5 league titles and 5 international trophies, while, as sports director of Rayados de Monterrey, he won one Liga MX, two MX Cups, and two Concachampions.

For his part, Andres Lillini, Despite being born in Argentina, he has extensive experience in Mexican soccer, since He has worked in the Aztec country for more than 20 years as manager of the basic forces, first in Morelia and later in Pumas. His work with the university students earned him promotion to the first team in 2020 and in his first season at the helm he led the cats to runner-up in the MX League, against all odds, since its staff was limited.

Later, in the Clausura 2023, he left Pumas and immediately found a place in Necaxa, the team he left at the end of the tournament.
