Starting this June 1 and until July 31, Massachusetts residents will be able to apply for a monthly payment of $500 dollars for 18 months, which corresponds to the program, entitled Rise Up Cambridge, applications will begin to be accepted gradually .

In this sense, the applicant must meet certain requirements: be a resident of Cambridge, be over 18 years of age; household income must be equal to or greater than 250% of federal wages and have at least one person under the age of 21 at home, in addition it will be evaluated how many members there are and what are the individual salaries.

In this case, if there is only one parent and one child in the household and they earn more than $49,000 they will not be eligible, therefore the income limit to be selected will increase slightly with each additional household member; if in a family of three members the annual income does not exceed $62,150 dollars they could be chosen.

In the end, recipients will receive a total of $9,000 in financial supportAlso, the report details that eligible residents will be able to use the money as they see fit and will not have to declare it as taxable income.

Another of the program’s proposals is that eligible applicants also have the option of participating in surveys to earn additional money. Those who wish to participate can find all the information about the project on their Rise Up Cambridge website.
