“A true accomplice on the pitch”: Lionel Messi and the emotional farewell to Jordi Alba after announcing his departure from FC Barcelona

Jordi Alba announced this Wednesday his departure from FC Barcelona, which means the departure of one of Lionel Messi’s top partners in the Blaugrana team. Besides, the farewell of the side also adds to the departure of Sergio Busquets, one of the elements that was also a partner of Messi.

As a result, the Argentinian star from PSG sent the Spanish winger a message on social networks, something he also did with the midfielder, where he revealed that I considered him an accomplice on the fieldthis due to the large number of assists and passes that were made during his time in the culé team.

Alba leaves Barcelona after 11 seasons, in which he won 18 titles: 6 Leagues, 5 Copas del Rey, 4 Spanish Super Cups, 1 UEFA Champions League, 1 Club World Cup and 1 European Super Cup, a great career within the team that bought him for approximately 15 million dollars from Valencia in 2010-2011 .

Messi was not the only one who said goodbye to the side, as a former player of the team also sent a goodbye message to Jordi Alba, being Gerard Piqué another of the club’s legends who said goodbye to the side.

“It has been an enormous pleasure to share a dressing room with you. What a show you have given on the left wing all these years. I wish you the best in the future”, Piqué said on social networks along with a photo of the two.
