In Mexico, the issue of missing persons is an unfortunate problem, since with it comes another equally serious problem: clandestine graves. And it is that from north to south of the Mexican territory these places appear, revealing where some of the victims who are tirelessly sought by their families are.
With this problem, another figure arose that has been of vital importance in locating clandestine burial places: the searchers. Dozens of groups have been formed with the need to search for their loved ones and the slow action of the authorities.
One of these groups, “Amor por los desaparecidos en Tamaulipas”, located a clandestine grave in the limits of the cities of Reynosa and Río Bravo. Some of the women that make it up began the search on their own account in the common known as “Las Artesitas”, site where the Gulf cartel.
After receiving an anonymous call, the group of searchers went to the site and began their arduous and difficult work. With gloves and shovels they removed the earth and the human remains began to be discovered. Several bone fragments were found by the women.
A leg already in the bones still had the sock and the sports shoe, they were glued to the bone material. The photo has circulated on social networks, as the action was documented through the collective’s Facebook account. You can also see a partially destroyed skull and another buried.
Once the location of what appears to be a clandestine grave was made, the members of the group notified the authorities, so that the Tamaulipas State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) is in charge of processing the scene and starting the investigation folder. correspondent.

Once the human remains were rescued by authorities from the Prosecutor’s Office, they were transferred to the Ciudad Victoria amphitheater to make an estimate of the biological data of the victims.
It is not the first time that search groups have made this type of discovery, since previously have found extermination camps in territories dominated by the Gulf Cartel and its criminal cells.
It should be noted that in the city of Reynosa there are more than 3,000 disappeareda number that increased in the internal struggle that the Gulf Cartel has been waging since 2017 after the assassination of Julián Manuel Loisa Salinas, alias “El Comandante Toro”.
