Even though the Mexico national team qualified for the Concacaf Final Four, Heavy and harsh criticism has intensified in recent days against the team and the beginning of the process of Diego Cocca; From the fans (through social networks) to the press, they have gone against the results and level of play of El Tri.

One of them has been the controversial journalist david faitelsonwhich due to its different spaces, either ESPN or the social networks in which he maintains a profile, has published strong criticism against the players and Cocca’s approach, especially after Hirving ‘Chucky’ Lozano’s complaint against Mexican journalism.

On this occasion, Faitelson in conversation with José Ramón Fernández considered that the players of the Mexican national team demonstrated a level of “mediocre and failures”.

“The Mexican fans he has every right to boo whoever he wantsas long as you do it respectfully,” he said on the Chronometer program.

Diego Cocca has to understand: the team hit rock bottom, turned into ashes. You have to rebuild it, you have to reinvent it, with other footballers, another mentality, another disposition. If not, the results will be the same…— David Faitelson (@Faitelson_ESPN) March 27, 2023

In the debut in the Concacaf Nations League, Mexico defeated Suriname (0-2) and then drew against Jamaica (2-2). With those four points they were able to advance to the next phase in the competition.
