The president of United States, Joe Biden condemned the shooting that occurred this Monday morning at the Covenant Schoollocated on Burton Hills Boulevard in Nashville, Tennessee, where 7 people were killed including a 28-year-old woman responsible for the shooting.

“A family’s worst nightmare. Tears at the very soul of the nation…We must do more to stop gun violence. We must do more to protect our schools so they don’t become prisons”, said.

During a summit on women entrepreneurs held in Washington, the US president urged Congress to approve his initiative to ban firearms and thus prevent more shootings.

“I ask Congress again to pass my ban on firearms. It is time for us to make more progress, “insisted the American president.

For her part at a press conference, the spokeswoman for the US presidency, Karine Jean-Pierre, also urged US legislators to take further action against assault weapons after what happened this day in Tennessee.

“How many more children have to be killed before Republicans in Congress step up? and approve the ban on assault weapons? (…) “We must do more. (Biden) He wants Congress to act. Enough is enough”, commented Karine Jean-Pierre.

It was this Monday morning that a woman armed with high powered rifles and a pistol arrived at the second floor of the Covenant School and opened fire killing 3 children and 3 adults.
