According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), inflation in February stood at 6.0%, this being the smallest increase in the last 17 months; however, the rate remains high and affects consumers who have decided to cut back on spending due to high prices.

Therefore, inflation is one of the biggest economic concerns Americans have today. In a breakdown, 65% of those surveyed indicated that 41% are affected by the high costs of health and medicinesand 43% in payments for housing and services.

The survey that was carried out the first week of March with more than 1,000 American adults also found that 47% expect the economy to “get worse” being questioned about the recent fall of Silicon Valley Bank and all the financial collapse that has caused.

Analysts from the Wall Street Journal-NORC stated that approximately 80% said they were in a not so good economic state; and only 20% claimed to have a more positive outlook. In addition, the specialists pointed out that many Americans now have doubts about how positive and important for the future a university degree can be.
