After the world learned of the death of Xavier López ‘Chabelo’, Social network users began to name the 91-year-old actress Silvia Pinal as the “queen of immortals”however, there is another great artist who can steal the crown.

This is the other famous singer and actress, María Victoria, who is 96 years old. The list of the longest-lived actors in Mexico is led by great acting figures who have shone in multiple generations.

Sergio Corona / October 7, 1928 (94 years old)
The new generations can recognize this actor for being the protagonist of ‘Como dice el dicho’; With an artistic career of more than 74 years, his acting life is very abundant. His first steps in the entertainment industry were taken as a ballet dancer in theaters. His acting came in 1950, when he participated in the film ‘Dangerous Curves’.

She is known for being a pioneer of the nude in Mexican cinema, for a scene from the film ‘La fuerza del deseo’. She debuted in the United States, but most of her career was in Mexico.

Elsa Aguirre / September 25, 1930 (92 years old)
Her unmatched beauty, sensuality, and bearing made her become one of the most desired women in entertainment by the public of the last century. She is currently retired from the stage.

Silvia Pinal / September 12, 1931 (91 years old)
One of the greats of the golden age of Mexican cinema and remembered for participating in films such as ‘Viridiana’ and ‘El Ángel Exterminador’; as well as for her program ‘Woman… Real Life Cases’.

This classification also includes names such as Yolanda Montes ‘Tongolele’ (January 3, 1932) currently 91 years old, the vedette who also conquered the golden cinema; and the lord Eric del Castillo (July 22, 1934) who is 88 years old and has an extensive filmography and career in soap operas.

Xavier López Chabelo, who recently passed away at the age of 88, was eighth on the listwhile the exceptional actor and human being, Ignacio López Tarso, headed the list until his death at the age of 97 on March 11. These actors have carved their acting quality through several generations and have left an important legacy in the history of Mexican cinema and television.
