Broli, coach of the Uruguayan under-20 team, was appointed to lead the senior team on an interim basis in the friendlies that they will play against South Korea on March 24 and against Japan four days later.
In the first of these meetings, La Celeste will once again come face to face with a team they faced at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, although this will now be led by the German Jurgen Klinsmann, who replaced the Portuguese Paulo Bento.
