Suspects Who Left Woman Paralyzed During Violent Robbery Arrested; they followed her from a bank before attacking her

HOUSTON – Authorities announced the arrest of two people who staged a violent robbery that left a woman with serious injuries.

The incident occurred on February 13 at a shopping center located in the 9800 block of Bellaire Street after the victim was chased for more than 20 miles from a bank in southeast Houston.

Police said 17-year-old Joseph Harrell and 19-year-old ZyNika Woods were arrested Friday, authorities said. Investigators said Woods was the driver and Harrell the person who was caught on video attacking the victim, a mother of three, to steal $4,200 from her that she had withdrawn from the bank for a trip to Vietnam.

During the attack, the victim was violently thrown to the ground, the blow caused a severe back injury to the woman, identified as Nhung Troung.

The victim is currently unable to walk.

Houston police said Harre
