Kalimba denies sexual abuse of Melissa Galindo: “I will take legal action for defamation”

Kalimba did not remain silent before the recent accusations of the singer Melissa Galindo, who revealed that she allegedly suffered sexual harassment and improper touching from the also member of OV7.

The interpreter of “Se te olvidó” denied the accusations of the young former participant of “La Voz México” and assured that he would take legal action against him for defamation.

Through a press release that he shared on his official profiles on his social networks, Kalimba thanked his fans for their support and stressed that “people know who he is and that he does not behave like this.”

“To my family, friends and the general public: I express my affection and deep gratitude for your messages and expressions of solidarity and support. Those who know me know who I am and how I act personally and professionally. I have always respected all the people with whom I have shared a project, both on and below the stage,” the document reads.

“I categorically deny the statements made against me. I will demonstrate with evidence and before the authorities the falsity of these accusations at the hands of my legal team ”, he added.

Besides, The OV7 member emphasized that he will not talk about the subject again and will sue Melissa Galindo for defamation, which he assures he is being subjected to..

“I inform public opinion that I will take legal action for the defamation of which I am being subjected, including against those who have replicated this message without safeguarding my identity and my rights. Therefore, this is the only statement I will make on the subject for now. Thank you and blessings ”, she finished.

Kalimba celebrates women’s movements

On the other hand, the singer assured that he admires the movement that gives women a voice, but there are people who, for reasons other than actual abuse, decide to make public complaints.

“I admire and celebrate these movements that have given women a voice, but it is very sad that they are used incorrectly, whether for revenge, to seek a benefit, or to seek to evade economic and legal responsibilities,” she insisted.
