Christian Nodal attended this Friday, to appear before the Attorney General of the Republic in Mexico (FGR) together with his parentsafter being accused of alleged fraud against the Universal Music label.
According to Televisa Espectáculos, both Silvia Nodalas jamie gonzalezparents of the Mexican regional singer-songwriter, went to give their statement before the Public Ministry of the Federation, although they wanted to go unnoticed.
It was in 2022 when the Mexican program “Ventaneando” revealed that Nodal was in trouble with Universal Music, for allegedly simulating contracts.
The investigation folder derives from a conflict between record labels due to the ownership of Christian Nodal’s music catalogswho last year left the aforementioned record company and preferred to sign with Sony Music.

Nodal and his family have a problem with the label
As reported by “Ventaneando”, Universal Music filed a complaint against Cristy Nodal and Jaime González, parents of Christian Nodal for allegedly having appropriated the content that belongs to the label.
“For alleged generic fraud against Christian Nodal’s parents, who are the two who signed the contract with Universal, by simulating a contract or contracts that seek to attribute to Christian Nodal ownership of the work owned by Universal Music or, for generic fraud, for having deceived Universal by obtaining undue profit,” they said on the Mexican television program at the time.
