The price of the new Girl Scout cookie can be around $30 on the resale market

In just hours the long-awaited Raspberry Rally Girl Scouts Cookies, Raspberry Flavored Limited Edition sold out on the market and now the product seems to be found in resale stores where they cost $30 well above the standard prices of $5 and $6.

Although the cookie managed to gain great popularity and now everyone wants to try it. The Girl Scouts assure that when acquiring this product through the resale market, the profits cannot be perceived. “When cookies are purchased through a third-party vendor, Girl Scout troops are deprived of the profits that fund critical programming throughout the year,” they said in a statement.

Likewise, the organization expressed that unauthorized sales are affecting not only the community that has been using this form of sale to raise money for more than 100 yearsbut the image of the Girl Scouts.

Through the statement, the organization also noted that the “Girl Scouts of the USA, their local Girl Scout council and our licensed cookie bakers cannot guarantee that the freshness or the integrity of cookies purchased through unauthorized sites remain the same,” he said.

One of the resale pages that is currently promoting the product is eBay, which recently assured that it has no intention of removing them from the stand. In this regard, the Girl Scouts asked for the help of the community to stop the scalping.

“We strongly support the entrepreneurial spirit of hard-working local Girl Scout troops and encourage cookie diggers to also support their local Girl Scouts,” the ad said. For now, people wishing to purchase the much-coveted raspberry cookies must do the losing for the website using the Cooke Finder.
