How long is a Formula 1 race?

The first is based on lap limits, meaning each track is original, unique and emotionally charged, but also brings with it a certain number of laps before the checkered flag is waved. For example, the Australian Grand Prix is ​​scheduled for 58 laps, while the Monaco Grand Prix ends after 78 laps.

On the other hand, we have the time limit. If for any reason a Formula 1 race cannot finish in all of its laps, it will be terminated within two hours.

An accident can cause time to be lost while track attendants remove debris generated by the impact of one or more cars. These reasons are the main ones in determining how long a Formula 1 race lasts.

The most demanding circuit in how much time

The Singapore Grand Prix is ​​one of the most demanding circuits in terms of time, in general, it usually takes very close to two hours after completing the 61 laps on the Marina Bay track. In addition, the high temperatures wear out the riders, making it one of the most demanding challenges of the season.

On multiple occasions the race has been completed due to a time limit. In most of them, due to accidents that interrupt the fluidity of the dispute.
