A Russian attack on an apartment building in the city of Zaporizhiain southern Ukraine, has already caused 13 deaths, the Emergency Situations Department of the region of the same name reported this Sunday.

“From the rubble of the building, specialists from the State Emergency Services have recovered 13 bodiesone of them that of an eight-month-old baby,” the institution announced on its Telegram channel.

A total of 11 residents, three cats and a dog were rescued alive after a Russian missile destroyed part of the five-story apartment building in the early hours of March 2, the source added.

Since then, municipal services have removed more than 893 tons of rubble and psychologists from the State Emergency Services have provided psychological assistance to a hundred people, including residents of the building and relatives of the victims.

Seven people were hospitalized as a result of the attack and two of them are in serious condition, according to Zaporizhia Governor Yury Malashko.
