Shortly before the final duel of the NFL American Conference between the Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals, the city’s mayor Aftab Pureval made tongue-in-cheek comments about quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Through a video posted on social networks last Friday, the municipal authority mocked the Kansas City figure by assuring that Joe Burrow has become Mahomes’s father and should take a paternity test to confirm it.
The reason? The negative mark that this has in confrontations. “Officials have asked Joseph Lee Burrow, who is 3-0 against Mahomes, to take a paternity test to confirm whether or not he is his father,” he said.
Pureval also brought up the Bengals’ 27-24 AFC title win last season and took the opportunity to proclaim Jan. 29, 2023, “Get Played Us Day” in Cincinnati.
In addition to the audiovisual, which has already reached four million views on Twitter, in the tweet he also published a photograph of the page with the proclamation. The post got more than 3.2 million views and generated quite a stir on social media.
Among the upset people is Patrick’s wife, Brittany Mahomes, who used her Twitter account to express her displeasure with the mayor’s latest statements towards her partner.
Before a tweet from the mayor of Kansas City, Quinton Lucas, in which he regretted the words spoken by his counterpart, Brittany took the opportunity to do the same. “Sorry, everyone. Heard the mayor of Cincinnati has tried to bring in some smoke that’s weak as hell. Catching up now,” the politician wrote.
The field marshal’s wife used only three words in her reply to Pureval. “Weak and embarrassing,” she sentenced.
