Joe Biden he said he was “outraged and deeply hurt” after seeing the videos of the brutal beating that five police officers inflicted on Tyre Nichols and that finally led to his death.

It was through a press release that the president shared his feelings with society “is another painful reminder of the deep fear and trauma, the pain and exhaustion that black and brown Americans experience every day.”

He also said that the images of the videos would not only cause pain, but outrage “the images that were published tonight will leave people justifiably outraged” which is why he once again called for peaceful mobilizations without falling into violence.

Prior to the press release, Biden indicated that “while Americans mourn his death, the Department of Justice conducts its investigation and state authorities continue their work, I join the Tire family in calling for peaceful protest. The outrage is understandable, but violence is never acceptable” and he demanded a “prompt, full and transparent” investigation into the 29-year-old’s death.

He added that there must be a change to generate a better understanding between society and the law of order “to generate real change, we must be held accountable when law enforcement officers violate their oaths, and we must build lasting trust between law enforcement officers, the vast majority of whom wear the badge with honor, and the communities they are sworn to serve and protect.

According to the authorities Tire Nichols died as a result of injuries sustained while fleeing a traffic stop done three days before. As a result of the events, five Memphis Department agents who were present during the arrest (all of them African-American) were removed from their positions and charged with crimes related to injuries, including manslaughter.
