Guillermo Ochoa’s Salernitana beat Lecce 2-1 in what meant the first victory for the Mexican goalkeeper after a run of seven games without being able to add three. Despite the fact that on this occasion Paco Memo did not make a difference for his team, the positive note of the three points that the Salerno team had not achieved since October when they beat Lazio remains.

Salernitana manages to get out of the last few difficulties and was able to complete a good match as a visitor from the Via del Mare Stadium; This is how they manage to stop a fall that seemed to take them to the relegation zone, despite having an acceptable payroll to be able to maintain the category.

At five minutes the Franco-Senegal Boulaye Dia opened the scoring for Salernitana with a shot from outside the area and at minute 20 the Dutchman Vilhena put the second for Guillermo Ochoa’s team, which in this match did not have the great performances of other matches.

At minute 23, the 28-year-old Brazilian, Gabriel Strefezza, managed to score the honor for the localsin a move that Paco Memo had nothing to do.

Another positive note is that despite the fairness of the result, Memo Ochoa was very calm and did not put any pressure on his goal as in previous games. Now with these three points, Salernitana has 21 points and is located in 14th position in the table.

Salernitana’s next test will be against Juventusa team that has been sanctioned with 10 points in Serie A but is still one of the greats in the championship, so Guillermo Ochoa and his teammates will have a tough test.
