The violence generated by organized crime groups in Sonora has no brakes, directly affecting citizens, who are even beaten in broad daylight without the authorities doing anything about it.
An example of this unfortunate situation went viral on social networks, through a video in which you can see a couple of gunmen brutally assaulting an inhabitant of the municipality of Caborca who apparently works as a taquero.
The fact becomes even more serious because the images were captured by another member of the armed groupwho threatens the victim while two of the criminals hit him with a stick and a rifle.
The video sparked the anger of users on social networks, who condemned the fact that the so-called “piso collection” and the violence take place in Caborca, Sonora and in the rest of the country.

“In broad daylight, the hit men come to collect the right to land, from the good people. If you don’t, they torture you. It is painful to see how Mexico is in the hands of organized crime”, can be read in one of the comments.
Even figures from the political scene such as Senator Lilly Téllez expressed their disgust at this situation. “Damn, what a rage! A taquero in Caborca, Sonora, beaten by criminals who charge a floor. It breaks my soul to see citizens subjugated by criminals,” the legislator wrote.
Later, the Sonora Attorney General’s Office issued a statement to reveal that an investigation into this attack had already begun, and revealed that the man who was beaten by the alleged hitmen is called Matías and is indeed a taquero.

“The aim is to find those responsible so that they answer for the facts and for the possession of what can be seen in the video as firearms,” the agency added on its social networks.
It should be noted that Sonora was one of the most dangerous states in Mexico during December 2022registering 164 homicides, being surpassed only by Guanajuato, Baja California and the State of Mexico.
