covered california painted downtown Los Angeles to encourage residents who do not have insurance to sign up for health coverage before the end of the period this Tuesday, January 31.

In a collaboration with artists from Los Angeles and California, Covered California unveiled a large-scale piece of street art at Grand Central Market as a reminder that there is only one week left until the end of the registration period.

“We’re here to spread the word to Los Angeles and the rest of the state that time is running out to enroll in quality health insurance through Covered California,” said Covered California CEO Jessica Altman.

The executive director invited to visit the Covered California website at this link and Know how much financial help you can get and how affordable coverage can be for you and your family.

Covered California’s open enrollment period, which ends January 31, It’s the only time of year that California residents can sign up for health coverage without experiencing a significant life event..

According to data from Covered California, more than 202,000 statewide enrolled in coverage during open enrollment, through Jan. 14.

In addition, more than 1.5 million people renewed their coverage, bringing Covered California’s total enrollment to more than 1.7 million.

Covered California said the enrollment is driven by the largest and most extensive financial aid available through the federal Inflation Reduction Act. As a result, two out of three Covered California members find they can get coverage by 2023 for $10 or less per month.

Financial help for middle-income consumers reduces many of your premiums by hundreds of dollars each month.

“Expanded financial aid provides significant savings for Californians, but for people to benefit, they must act before the end of the month. Regardless of your income, it only takes a few minutes to discover how affordable coverage can be and what options are available in our area,” added Altman.

Covered California has a new affordability tool and spreadsheet that can help people estimate if they qualify for federal financial aid.

Interested residents also have the ability to contact a certified agent, access the support page, or use Covered California’s Quick Help service to have an agent contact you within 15 minutes.

To mark the entry deadline, Covered California commissioned a large-scale street art painting to be temporarily exhibited at Grand Central Market in Los Angeles. The concept of the work was led by Shane Grammer, a contemporary-inspired multidisciplinary artist..

Grammer’s work can be found in Mexico City, Brazil, Peru, Cambodia, South Korea, and Dubai, and he previously worked for Walt Disney Imagineering as a dimensional designer.
