A peculiar image occurred after Pumas UNAM’s defeat of León on the third day of the 2023 Clausura Tournament of the Liga MX. On leaving the stadium, Eduardo ‘Toto’ Salvio was approached by a group of fans who wanted to take a picture and the Argentine’s partner, Sol Rinaldi, ended up running them away in a not very pleasant way.
The video went viral on social networks and triggered a sea of criticism for the player’s partner for their despotic attitude. The audiovisual shows the moment in which Salvio is completely surrounded by a group of fans asking for photographs.
The footballer never refused and agreed to take some selfies, but at one point his girlfriend explodes at the situation and is heard saying: “you can go out, fuck off”. The end of the sentence became inaudible, but the most criticized moment was when the recording shows how Rinaldi slightly pushes a couple of fans who kept getting closer.
All this happened on the outskirts of the Estadio Olímpico Universitario while Salvio and his partner went to their car with a suitcase. The clip spread like wildfire on social networks and reached more than 240,000 views on TikTok.
This action generated great repercussions among Internet users who took what happened with humor, but did not hesitate to criticize Rinaldi’s attitude and even compared her to the girlfriend of Argentine striker Julián Álvarez.
“Julián Álvarez Moment”; “Just like Julián Álvarez”; “That’s why I don’t take my girlfriend to the games, she doesn’t let me play the third half”; “She gets mad at the fame she doesn’t have”were some reactions from users.
It should be remembered that in the midst of the celebrations of the Argentine players for the achievement of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, Julián Álvarez’s girlfriend had a similar episode when she refused to let some fans take pictures with her partner.
