One more victim died this Monday from the mass shooting that occurred this Saturday night in the city of Monterey Parkso the death toll rose to 11, reported the medical services.
“Our heroic staff at the LAC+USC Medical Center has worked tirelessly to care for the four victims entrusted to our care. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we are saddened to share that one of the victims succumbed to his extensive injuries.. We want to express our deepest condolences to their family and loved ones”, informed the executive director of the LAC+USC Medical Center, Jorge Orozco.

The victim, who was among 10 people injured in the shooting, has not yet been identified.. This Monday afternoon he had been informed of the deaths of five women and five men.
As of Monday morning, the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office had only identified two of the victims: My Nhan, 65; and Lilan Li, 63 years old.
Before the update by the LAC+USC Medical Center, the youngest person among the deceased was 50 years oldwhile three 70-year-old men were the oldest, as reported by the coroner’s office on Monday morning.
Authorities reported that the people injured in the shooting received care at the LAC+USC Medical Center, where one was reported in serious condition and the other two in the process of recovery.
“We remain hopeful that they make a full recovery,” Orozco said.
The City of Monterey Park plans a vigil in memory of the 11 victims of the shooting at 7:00 pm Monday at City Hall, 320 W. Newmark Avenue.
